Someplace Else is the projects’ debut single. In this composition, Mulholland draws influence from post-punk outfits such as Joy Division, Gang of Four and Sonic Youth.

The song lyrics are inspired by the artwork Threading Remains, a mixed media piece by Mexican artist Kathryn Medina. Contained within the artwork is an exert of a 1965 letter that minimal and conceptual artist Sol LeWitt wrote to post-minimal sculptor Eva Hesse, addressing her persistent self-doubt as an artist.
